Chester Races, Saturday 11th July.

8 Brothers and their wives and friends travelled to Chester Race Course on Saturday 11th July to enjoy a great days racing at the premier race meeting of the year. We arrived in warm sunshine to park on the centre of the course and enjoy our picnics before the start of racing. Whilst no fortunes were lost or made, at least one brother made a real success of the day.

The local constabulary paid a visit and they were having as relaxed a day, whilst working, as ourselves.

By the last race, the wind had risen and the rain arrived, but it did not dampen the spirits as we drove the the Queen’s Head in Frodsham for our evening meal. The food was excellent. The meal and company provided a fitting end to a relaxed and pleasant occasion.
