Brother Jack Hughes – R.I.P.

Brother Jack Hughes paased away peacefully in his Nursing Home on 14th January 2024 after along battle with his failing health. This forced him to resign his membership three years ago but was in regular contact with Brothers and their families. He celebrated his 100th Birthday in hospital surrounded by his friends last August.

He was a long standing member of the Catenian Association who enjoyed his membership of the Association, regularly attending the monthly meeting up until resignation from the Circle. He was a Past President of the South Liverpool Circle. He will be remembered for his excellent company and conversation.

Jack trained as an RAF pilot at the end of the Second World War in South Africa before returning to Liverpool and a career as an industrial Chemist and Technical adivisor in the Paint industry,

Jack’s funeral will be held at 12noon on Friday 9th February at St Mary’s Church, Woolton. Requiem Mass, with burial in St Mary’s graveyard.
