Joint Circle Meeting with Birkenhead – Monday 13th January, 2025
The Circle Councils of Liverpool South and Birkenhead Circles, recognising that January is a month known for low attendances, decided to collaborate for a joint meeting on 13th January. 2025, hosted by Liverpool South (164). The meeting was a great success with an excellent turnout. 43 Brothers, visitors and guests attended. There were 26 brothers from the two Circles in attendance, together with 12 visitors from Province 4, led by Director John Gannon and 5 guests, including two local Clergy and an assistant lay Chaplain, representing the Chaplaincy, serving the Liverpool and John Moores’ Universities and LIPA,
The meeting was held at the Liverpool Cricket Club and chaired by Brother Jim Reid, President of Liverpool South, after which all enjoyed a sumptuous meal prepared by the Club’s resident caterer, Sue and her team. At the conclusion of the meal, Brother Jim thanked all brothers from Birkenhead and our visitors and guests for joining us and creating such a wonderful occasion. Brother President Michael Redmond (Birkenhead) responded and offered his thanks to the host circle for organising the evening and providing such a warm welcome to all.
164 continues supporting Catholic Youth and we welcomed Arran Kearney, Assistant Chaplain to the Catholic Chaplaincy for the Liverpool Universities to receive £250 towards their student pilgrimage. We look forward to hearing in due course about its success. Our support for the Chaplaincy continues.
