Ladies Post Circle Dinner, Monday 9th July

Our Circle meeting on 12th July at the Hallmark Hotel. South Liverpool, was followed by a very successful Ladies Post-circle Dinner, attended by 17 Ladies.

The highlight of the evening was an address by Nettie Porter and Eleanor Broekman, two guests of Brother President, Phil Gray. Both ladies are actively involved with St Charles Parish, Aigburth, running a youth group called Pizza and Prayers. A significant number of members of the youth group have received Catenian Bursary Fund cheques to support their participation in pilgrimages to Lourdes. Brother President has recently presented 14 cheques to members of the youth group. Nettie Porter spoke about the founding and continuing success of Pizza and Prayers. Eleanor Broekman addressed the dinner on the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and Congress in Liverpool: ‘Adoremus’ being held from 7 – 9 September 2018.

Both speakers demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment in their support for the youth of St Charles, which was warmly applauded by all.
