Successful Meeting & Ladies Post-circle Dinner – Monday 13th July.

18 Brothers from the Circle were joined by Provincial Vice-president Chris Ryan, (NEW Circle), 2 visiting Brothers and 2 Guests for our monthly meeting. A warm welcome was extended to Brother Chris, who will be installed as GBNC President at the Catenian National Conference at Crew Hall on 15th May 2027.

Chris Ryan and his wife Anne were the Circle’s principal guests for the Ladies Post-Circle dinner. Other guests were Fr. Gerard Toman, Parish Priest, St Anthony of Padua, Mossley Hill, Fr Tom Clarke, three of our widows and the ladies of the Circle. A total of 43 Brothers, guest and ladies.

An excellent dinner provide by the Cricket Club caterers was enjoyed by all.

After dinner, Bro. Dave Hart gave a most inspiring talk on Antonia Raco, the 72nd miracle of Lourdes. He described how Antonia, who was suffering from with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS), visited Lourdes in 2009. When she went to the baths, she reported feeling an unusual sense of well-being and being able to walk again. She underwent a series of check-ups which showed that the symptoms she had been experiencing since 2004 had disappeared, and confirmed the diagnosis of Primary Lateral Sclerosis. After extensive medical examinations and investigations her cure was validated and in 2025, this was declared the 72nd Miracle of Lourdes.

It was a most successful evening, enjoyed by all.
